Extreme-Ink talked with Stephanie Marazzo in an exclusive interview, where she talks about her life as an Internationally published tattooed model.
I was just moving home from college and still wasn’t sure what I was going to do with my life yet.
I did a photo shoot where my sister took some photos of me so I could send some quality photos to my tattoo artist. Once I posted the images on my social medias I received immediate feedback. I was offered a modeling contract later that year.
I moved from New Jersey to Canada to Florida within six months and the entire process took a major chunk out of my availability and my ability to maintain connections with industry friends and connections. When I settled in Florida there was a sort of “starting all over” feeling while I acclimated to my new home.
Every month I’m surprised by the amount of attention and opportunities that come my way. This August I was featured in four separate magazines from the US and the UK and I was offered a chance to work with a local artist as his model for a commissioned mural in downtown.
I always tell aspiring models to make as many photographers and fellow model connections as they can. Sometimes when you need that “foot in the door opportunity,” the connections you’ve made can give you that push.
